INTERIOR PARTS
DESIGNING YOUR OWN INTERIOR

When designing your own interior behind sliding doors, it is important to consider that behind the point(s) where the doors overlap on 2 & 3 door wardrobes there is an area that can't be accessed directly. The rules are; don't position anything behind these points that pull out i.e. drawers. Usually, it is enough to allow around 50mm either side of the overlap to avoid a problem.

Where possible arrange the interior so that hanging rail is used behind the overlaps. On 3 door systems, try to plan drawers (if fitted) in the centre of the wardrobe behind the middle door, and contain the drawers within 50mm of the overlaps.

Start to plan the interior by first deciding the position of drawers (if fitted) which can be 400mm, 600mm or 800mm wide, followed by stand width shelves and rails which are also 400mm, 600mm and 800mm wide. Lastly, use the longer shelves and rails (which can be cut down on site) to any size that's needed for an interior that meets your exact storage needs.
